Our Tasmanian Cassis has been made with fresh local blackcurrants using traditional wine making methods. Our Cassis has an intense blackcurrant fruit aroma and the palate is very sweet, rich and smooth with long lingering flavours. Cassis is predominately used in a Kir Royale cocktail (3tsp Cassis and Champagne), however, can be enjoyed with dry Tasmanian cider, sparkling water or poured over fine vanilla bean ice-cream.
To make the French cocktail Kir, simply add three teaspoons to white wine.
To make a Kir Royale add three teaspoons to sparkling wine for a refreshing aperitif.
